North Settlement ("Wrinkle" Area), Summitville Window

The northern section of town, historically nicknamed Wrinkle, was among the earliest settled portions of Summitville and shares the late 19th and early 20th century construction profile of the original plat. Homes here typically feature wood frame construction with single pane windows in deteriorating wood or early steel sash. Seal failure is not applicable to true single pane units, but frame decay and heat loss make full replacement a high priority.
